- The "Stariņš" preschool in Chicago is a full-time daycare center for children aged 2-5. The language of instruction is to be 100 percent Latvian. The center, which opened March 7, 2005, has received accreditation from the State of Illlinois and its preschool curriculum will be based on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.
