Mednis un Kīns, along with Rūsis, have new radio single
The Latvian-American alt-country duo Mednis un Kīns, which last year saw success in the homeland with the 12-track album Lidojums, has released a new radio single, “Atbildes.”
The song, which also features singer Artūrs Rūsis of California, was released April 4 and already is playing on some Latvian stations. Lyrics are by the poet Gunta Kraulere and music is by Mednis.
Mednis un Kīns is Edmunds Mednis of Milwaukee, Wis., and Ēriks Kīns of Chicago. Mednis years ago was the drummer for the Latvia-based country band Bumerangs. Kīns has played with such bands as Adam Zahl and the Minnow Buckets. Hollywood producer Rūsis, who sang the male lead in the musical “Eslingena,” has teamed up with Mednis and Kīns before.
