Asom tepat, vēļ jūprūjom!

October 27, 2007

Hurrah! After trying for months to access the Web site of Latgallian rock band Bez PVN, we finally managed to get there. The site, found at bezpvn.atzolys.lv returned earlier this month, according to an Oct. 19 post. “Asom tepat, vēļ jūprūjom!” (We’re still here!), the band announces.

Bez PVN began in 2003 and consists of singer and electric guitar player Kristaps Rasims; his brother Guntis Rasims, who plays acoustic guitar and the accordeon as well as sings, bassist Aija Repša and drummer Artūrs Morozs. The band released its first album, the 13-track Pyrms Vuorda..., in late 2006.

The Web site offers plenty for fans to explore, including samples of the band’s music, lyrics for some songs (a great service for those like us who are Latgallian-challenged), a couple of music videos and a backgrounder on the band.

Bez PVN also can be found on the Latgallian version of the popular draugiem.lv Latvian social network, munidraugi.lv.
