- Who would have thought there would ever be a Web site devoted to Latvian cultural activities in the Netherlands? The site has just been created so the information is still limited. Despite that, there were some interesting tidbits here: new direct flights between Amsterdam and Rīga, the elephant that was recently transported from Rīga Zoo to Emmen, dates for cultural activities in the Netherlands featuring Latvian composers and performers, and television screenings of Latvian films.
