Rehearsals for West Coast festival

In preparation for the West Coast Latvian Song Festival, rehearsals for choirs and folk dance ensembles are scheduled May 24-25 in the Latvian Community Center, 1955 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles, and the Latvian Ev. Lutheran Church of Southern California, 1927 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles. Rehearsals run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 24. Folk dance ensembles will rehearse May 25 from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 2-4 p.m., while choirs will rehearse just from 2-4 p.m.

Bistro evening in Los Angeles

A bistro night, sponsored by the West Coast Latvian Song Festival’s organizing committee, is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. May 25 in the Latvian Community Center, 1955 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles. The event include dinner, dancing and a preview of song festival performances. Tickets at USD 50 for the general public, USD 30 for song festival participants and USD 20 for students.
