- “The Singing Revolution” in Washington
The Singing Revolution, a film about the Estonian and Baltic reawakening and Estonia’s renewal of independence in the late 1980s and early 1990s, will open April 18 in the E Street Theater, 555 11th Street N.W., Washington, D.C. For show times, visit www.landmarktheatres.com. Due to audience response, screenings have been extended through May 8.

- Children’s groups perform in Denmark
Cielaviņa and Spice, two children’s pop music groups from Ludza, Latvia, will perform in Denmark from April 16-20. Their first concert will begin at 19:00 hours April 16 in the small hall at Bygningen, Ved Anlæget 14B, Vejle. At 14:00 hours April 18 they will perform near the Falck Fire Brigade at Legoland, Bilund. At 17:00 hours April 19 they will perform at the Lokalhistorisk Bibliotek, Klosterbakken 2, Odense. The groups will also play smaller concerts at the Latvian schools in Denmark. For more information visit lettiskdanskforening.dk.
