The Latvian Song and Dance Festival in Milwaukee is just getting under way. Since I will not be able to attend this year, I did the next best thing. Today, I attended the XIV Lithuanian Folk Dance Festival in Boston. There were about 2000 dancers from USA, Canada, Lithuania, Brazil, Sweden and Poland. There were about a dozen Latvian and Lithuanian dancers that I know who were members of one of five age groups (children, youths, students, adults and veterans).It was a great show and performance that I thorougly enjoyed.
