I am not hard on myself for I (unlike you) read many books and magazines so that I can have a varied opinion on many varied subjects.

I just recently took an online class from a military school on “Did the Soviet Union Win WWII?” and as an introduction the professor stated that there are two types of history books. One type is where the writer gives his opinion but does not back it up with references and one that uses references to back up his statements. His example was of a soldier writing about his career can only tell about his personal participation in battles but cannot be used as a definite source for he does not have the whole picture. A scholar using references (even that soldier) will reference his findings and has more credibility. For your information he surmised that WWII was lost by Germany because of Hitler.
In your 5-6 years in high school you surly should have been asked to prove your point by referencing your statements.
I now know why you can not answer any question asked of you because you do not try to read about the subject you try to pretend you know something about.

My cavalier discarding of reporter’s newspaper article as authority is based upon the common view that newspapers and common periodicals are not cited as authority past the eighth grade elementary school research project. Apparently that was the limit of some reader’s education.

I find it tedious and redundant to cite sources when posting on topics that any educated person should know. Even marginally educated should know that Islam is not only based on the Koran but also on the
the historical life of Mohamed (interpreted of course). Thus the beheading of nonbelievers is a part of the religion( despite the pc denials).

There is nothing “cavalier” about you. You have told us that anything above 8th grade reading is above your reading level. I thought you had spent 6 years in high school but now you tell us that you have no ability to understand anything written above 8th grade level so I must assume you spent several years in 7th grade until they were forced to promote you.
