I’ve decided to go on with my story since it hasn’t finished yet and might be a good example of not losing hope in any situation, especially when so many people were eager to help me.
Fortunately, there was no need to look for the grave in every cemetery of Riga.Already on 18 March I received a piece of news from one of the departments of Riga municipality that my grandfather was buried at Mikela kapi in Gaujas street.I was also provided with the number of the grave though it was mentioned that it had no owner at the moment.Almost at the same time I received my grandfather’s death certificate with the detais of his death and to my surprise, with a new name-Marta Dvorionova as the owner of the grave.A bit later I was provided with two adresses of the people who might be the relatives of Ursula. And luckily one of them was Ursula’s grandson who remembers them very well since he used to visit them often. He told me that after his wife’s death my grandfather got married for the third time!the family got angry and buried him separately. He kindly offered to show me the grave but warned me that the grave is “buried over” by somebody else since his third wife didn’t take care of it.So soon I hope to visit at least this place and meet the new relative!
Lately,I’ve also learnt a lot about the neighbours of the family at Matisa 86a,Valmieras 31 and how they started their baking business.Thank God there are so many kind-hearted and eager to help people!
