The recent warm weather might remind us that in the good old days firing up the wood stove in the kitchen could also heat up the tile stove in the adjacent salon. Before the advent of high technology devices such as the primus stove cooking was sometimes done outdoors. The tradition apparently still continues, as evidenced by this most excellent culinary blog:
