Jānis in latvian translates to John in english, and Osis in latvian translates to (ash) Ashton in english.

Ah I see now where you are coming from Bruno but why ashton when ash is also an english name.?

Today (20100507) on http://www.legacy.com there are 10 054 available ($) obituaries.
About 1 000 are for Ash, about 2 000 for Ashley, about 1 000 for Ashton.
The rest is for Ash+ various endings.
