Without outside aid and assistance Port-au-Prince would be on its way of becoming a ” Lost city of Atlantis”.

The quake in Lisbon some 400 years ago flattened the city and killed or maimed most of its population, but it recovered.  At that time the suffering caused by that carnage caused a lot of thinkers to lose their faith in the goodness of God, but even that faith recovered.
