Any true Chicago Bear fan will know that a Latvian did in fact play for the Bears. In the 1996 NFL draft the Bears selected as their 4th round pick (116th overall) a defensive tackle out of Notre Dame by the name of Paul Grasmanis. Grasmanis played for the Bears from the 1996 through 1998 season before moving on to Denver and Philadelphia.
