Any true Chicago Bear fan will know that a Latvian did in fact play for the Bears. In the 1996 NFL draft the Bears selected as their 4th round pick (116th overall) a defensive tackle out of Notre Dame by the name of Paul Grasmanis. Grasmanis played for the Bears from the 1996 through 1998 season before moving on to Denver and Philadelphia.
Bear down Chicago Bears!

Eriks Reks from Boston plays linebacker for Duke, and his Dad Elmars played for Holy Cross in the late 70’s.  There is also a HS senior Nik Abele from Irvine, CA who is has 10+ scholarship offers from variety of D-1 schools.    Switching gears to basketball -  Andris Biedrins of course is in the NBA, and Rihards Kukskis is a starter on Arizona State, and is a deadly 3 point shooter.
