Secular nations are en route to self-destruction via a catastrophically falling birthrate:  fewer than 1.5 births per woman, when the replacement rate is at least 2.1 births per woman.  To get the necessary manpower to pay the pensions to shrinking and aging populations, Europe is going to be overrun by Moslems.

In the US the situation is somewhat different: there are rapidly reproducing local groups, such as the Mormons, the Amish, the Hutterites, the Brethren.  All are intensely religious, which means that the present predominatly secular public will lose control of the government, and yield it to such highly religious groups.

Perhaps here is the answer as to the conundrum as to why no tribe, no society, no culture, no civilization has survived the test of history.  They all self-destructed due to the failure to reproduce.

Hey spectator,
Secular nations are en route to destructin due to a lack of faith.

I agree w you when you say “Perhaps here is the answer as to the conundrum as to why no tribe, no society, no culture, no civilization has survived the test of history.  They all self-destructed due to the failure to reproduce” to a point.

Of course if you don’t reproduce, a culture dies. I have always feared this would be the way of the Latvians, who are not known for 10 kids in a family. Honestly, putting this post aside, i would love to hear from any Latvian on line who had more than 5 - 6 brothers or sisters. I’ve never encountered them.

I think your post is suggesting that secularism will pass into history’s dustbin and religious fanatisicm will rule. And you are lamenting this change. If secularism fades, it’s because it doesn’t have enough adherents. It’s failed to win converts to it’s ideals.

This isn’t because of religious fanatisicm, it’s because non religious thought, today, hasn’t provided a real alternative to faith in God. Think about that at the next confrontation.
