Well, maybe not Rubiks, but there are four Saeima members making pilgrimage to one of the last unrepentant bastions of Socialism. According to this LETA story: http://www.apollo.lv/portal/news/articles/101673 , Mareks Segliņš (TP), Vjačeslavs Stepaņenko (LPP/LC), Valērijs Agešins (SC) and Ivans Ribakovs (SC) are on their way to Havana, to enjoy the tropical climes and the warm comradery under the guise of «pieredzes apmaiņas vizītē» or, visit to exchange experiences.
Perhaps they will bring back the secret wonders of Cuba’s revolutionary health care system, where there is no lack of medicine or treatment for ailments, where Doctors are so well-trained and plentiful that the tiny island nation can afford to send scores of them to the slums of Venezuela—where the physicians would never, ever, even consider taking an “aploksnīte” in exchange for their services.
In return, I am sure the Latvian delegation will help prepare the Cuban people for the inevitable day when Fearless Leader Fidel will no longer be around to guide them. Armed with instructions for “privatizācija,” “demokrātija,” “vēlēšanas,” “sertifikāti,” et al., there will be a veritable “Little Latvia” just 90 miles offshore from the Florida Keys in no time!
