I am looking for any relatives of my father Janis Osis born Jelgava 20 Septembris 1920g. He was captured by the Germans in 1942 and sent to Gemany to work as slave labour, he ended up in a displaced persons camp in Wilhelmshaven until 1947 when he was brought to England by the Red Cross. The name he used in the camp and to get to England was Andrejs Orleans. I would like to hear from anybody who knew my father as a young boy in Jelgava or in the dp camp in wilhelmshaven, also any Osis family members either in Latvija, U.K. Australia or U.S.A.

Looking for any descedants of Aleksandra Jakuseva born Perm 23 aprilis 1883g Married Karlis Osis 1912g, died in Jumprava 1988g. aged 105 years old. Had 3 children Zinaida, Angelika and Janis if anyone has information of descendants of my grandmother it would be most welcome.

Most of my fathers family have come from Latvia. His mum and dad left at the end of WW2 and migrated to New Zealand. Im trying to locate other relatives that may still be living there. If anyone can give my any information at all about the last name Apse it would be greatly appreciated.

My grandfather came from Riga in 1906-John Zuker, Freida Zuker and Eddie Sugar. Stayed in Lynn Mass. I don’t know anything about the origins of this name. Thanks. I want to learn to knit Latvian Mittens also.

I am searching the Raduraksti website for more ancestors of the Stern/Steinblum family and one record shows an Ernst Steinblum who was married to someone called Edde (The handwriting is messy so I think it is Edde). This is a Latvian name and I wonder whether is could be the Latvian form of Elisabeth?

Could someone clarify or correct this for me? I am trying to find a link to my great grandmother and I have another record of an Ernst Stern being married to an Elisabeth.

Hi all,

Looking for a Ilga Mare Benitis that immigrated to Canada after WWII. This is my grandmother’s half-sister. My grandmother (Asja Sauka nee Martins) moved to Australia after the war with her 2 children Peter and Brigita (my mother) but lost contact with her sister. She spent some time in Germany before moving to Australia.

If anyone knows any details that would be great!

Who,looking for relatives!Im,lookung for my grandad’s cousins!Unfortunetly,my grandad dies 6 years ago,and only what i have is very small information about his cousins!
In the 2.World war my grandads auntie, moved from Latvia to England,but on teh ship she meet her husband John Webster!They,was merried.My grandads auntie name was Anna Usane!In the England they was lived in the Hatfield!
After some years they had two doughters Linda and Ilona!!!
One of the girls ,after years moved to Australia!
After hers mums Annas death, second doughetr moved us well to Australia!
Thats it ,what i know…About this history!!!
Before,maried LINDAS AND ILONAS surname was WEBSTER

Her mums Anna born in the Sībīrijā,Jeņiseskaja giberņa,Krasnodarskij kraj.

Last news what we get was in 1958.year
