- Latvian conducts National Chamber Choir
Kaspars Putniņš, director of the Latvian Radio Choir, conducts the National Chamber Choir in a concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. June 26 in the Shaw Room of the National Gallery of Ireland, Merrion Square West, Dublin. The concert is part of the NCC’s “Baltic Blues” series and focuses on the celebration of Jāņi. On the program are works by Latvian composers Pēteris Vasks, Pēteris Plakidis and Juris Karlsons, as well as by Estonian composer Veljo Tormis.
