The Singing Revolution, a documentary about nonviolent resistance to Soviet occupation in Estonia and the Baltics, will be presented at 1:30 p.m. June 20 in the Angelika Film Center & Café, 5321 East Mockingbird Lane, Dallas. - Balts in Beijing celebrate summer solstice
The Latvian embassy in China, along with the Lithuanian and Estonian embassies, is hosting a summer solstice celebration beginning at 18:00 hours June 20 by the lake in Kings Garden village, Beijing. All Latvians, Lithuanian and Estonians living in China are invited to join in the celebration, which will be supplemented by Latvian beer, cheese and other specialties ordered specially from Latvia by the embassy. All who wish may prepare skits to perform by the bonfire. For more information write to .
