Former Latvian president and visiting fellow of the Harvard Institute of Politics Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga will speak at 2:15 p.m. May 8 in the Garden Room at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies, 27 Kirkland St. at Cabot Way, Cambridge. The theme of her speech will be “The Road from the USSR to EU and NATO Membership: Latvia’s Success Story”. This event is open to the public.
