The surf club
June 17, 2005
We think this is a first: Umurkumurs, the downstairs bar in the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto, now has wireless Internet access available to patrons, according to an item posted on the center’s Web site.
Wireless Internet access is commonplace in downtown Rīga, as many a traveler can attest. But wouldn’t it be great to have such access in Gaŗezers in the United States, or Sidrabene in Canada, or the Blue Eyes Ski Club in Australia?
In Umurkumurs, you are to see the bartender for the password. Now you can have your Aldaris and go surfing, too.
