Latvian golfers have known about Natalie Gulbis for a while. Now the 22-year-old Latvian-American professional golfer from California is getting more notice beyond the links. The Toronto Star, in fact, has dubbed her a centerfold for the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
In a story by Star writer Jim Byers, Gulbis is even compared to perennial bad little rich girl Paris Hilton—a dubious distinction. It’s her marketing savvy if not her golf skills that have earned Gulbis a lot of attention, Byers notes: a wall calendar featuring Gulbis wearing skimpy clothes, an upcoming reality show on The Golf Channel, and just basically looking good on the links.
“Natalie,” the six-episode show on The Golf Channel, premieres on July 19.
